The Joanna Foundation Grants
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in specific South Carolina counties for various projects, excluding debt reduction and direct individual assistance.
Description
The Joanna Foundation operates on a two-part process for grant applications, beginning with a Letter of Intent (LOI) and potentially inviting full proposals thereafter. The Foundation's grant cycles are structured into three periods throughout the year, with specific windows for submission. They prioritize projects that demonstrate support from other grantmakers and focus on specific areas within South Carolina, particularly Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester Counties, and the communities of Newberry and Joanna, SC. Eligible organizations must be IRS-approved non-private not-for-profits, excluding those receiving funding in the previous calendar year. Grants cater to a range of needs from seed money to capital campaigns but exclude debt reduction, direct support to individuals, and several other categories.
Grant renewed every year. 2024 grant deadlines for LOI: The window will open at 9 AM on the start date and close at 5 PM on the end date OR when a maximum capacity of twenty (20) eligible submissions is reached
Cycle 1: January 8th to January 10th
