Eaton County Parks Community Grant Program

Description
Eaton County, Michigan has opened the third round of its Parks Community Grant Program, aimed at enhancing recreational spaces across the county. This competitive grant program supports projects related to the acquisition, improvement, and development of parks and open spaces in cities, villages, and townships located within Eaton County. The goal is to invest in community recreation infrastructure and provide more accessible outdoor spaces for residents.
A total of $400,000 in funding is available for the 2025 grant cycle. Applicants may request between $5,000 and $400,000 per project. Proposals will be evaluated based on established grant criteria, and awards will be distributed to eligible local government entities such as cities, villages, and townships. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Previous funding rounds have supported a diverse range of communities. In 2024, grant recipients included Oneida Charter Township ($60,000), Delta Charter Township ($150,000), and the City of Eaton Rapids ($190,000). The inaugural 2023 cycle funded projects in Grand Ledge, Potterville, Hamlin Township, Delta Charter Township, the City of Eaton Rapids, the Village of Vermontville, Charlotte, and Olivet.
