Description
The Retail Readiness Entrepreneurship Training Program, powered by the Watson Institute and supported by Walmart, is a 16-week program designed for underserved agricultural entrepreneurs transforming inputs into higher-value products. Running from March 10 to June 30, 2025, the program provides training, mentorship, and up to $1,000 for retail readiness certifications to help participants scale their ventures and create community impact.
Participants attend virtual workshops, a 2-week immersive orientation, and community-building activities, including hosting a Basecamp workshop in their communities. Topics include product development, marketing, financial management, and scaling operations. The program concludes with a Summit where participants pitch their ventures to funders and leaders.
Open to U.S.-based entrepreneurs in areas with high wealth inequality, the program seeks applicants with traction and measurable community impact. Applications are due January 26, 2025, with rolling reviews thereafter. Notifications will be sent by February 21, 2025. For more information, visit the Watson Institute website.
