Eligibility for the GOS grant is categorized into four levels, based on an organization's size and operational history. Levels 1 & 2 are designated for small-size organizations with annual expenses of at least $5,000 and at least one year of operation. Levels 3 & 4 are reserved for mid-to-large-sized organizations with annual expenses of at least $100,000, a minimum of three years in operation, and at least one paid executive, managing, or programming director. Organizations that have annual expenses exceeding $100,000 but otherwise meet the eligibility criteria for Levels 1 or 2 should apply under the Level 1 & 2 application.
Applicants at all levels must submit a complete application online through the application portal provided by Creative Flagstaff. While submission of the GOS Expenses & Revenue Form is optional for Level 1 and Level 2 applicants, it is required for Levels 3 and 4. Additionally, organizations applying at Levels 3 and 4 must include their SMU Data Arts Profile as part of their application. All awarded applicants will also be required to maintain an SMU Data Arts Profile.
