Applications must be received by October 15 for the upcoming grant cycle running from February 1 to September 1. Eligible organizations must operate registered animal shelters and comply with Public Act 287 of 1969. Organizations previously awarded must have adhered to grant terms to be eligible again. Grantees are required to submit a report of grant-funded activities. Funds are not to replace existing program funds but to supplement new or expanded efforts.
