Seattle Foundation administers the Medical Funds program to support: 

Medical Research Proposals: Highest priority will be given to specific equipment requests for research projects working on cancer, cardio-pulmonary, multiple sclerosis (or “kindred diseases”), arthritis or autoimmune or inflammatory disease more broadly, and diabetes. Research projects that don’t specifically focus on one of these conditions but that could potentially impact their diagnosis or treatment are also encouraged to apply, including basic research. 
Healthcare Needs of Low-Income Children: Highest priority will be given to capital campaigns, facility renovation projects or specific equipment needs in support of the healthcare needs of low-income children.

Funding Information
Approximately $350,000 is available for grants in 2024. Typically, no more than $40,000 is distributed to any one organization.
Eligibility Criteria
All applicant organizations must be located primarily in King County and qualify as tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
