Description

The Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Community Project Grant offers up to $3,000 for individuals, non-profit organizations, and municipalities to fund arts and culture projects that benefit the residents of Lackawanna County, PA. Eligible projects must enhance the local cultural landscape and show significant community impact. Applications are open to those outside the state, but projects must take place within the county. The application window is open until October 18, 2024. Notably, mural projects are excluded from this funding stream but are eligible for separate grants up to $7,000 under certain conditions. Religious organizations may apply only for public and non-religious activities. Fundraising activities and organizations already receiving county funding through other streams are ineligible. The grant supports various costs like artist fees, project management, supplies, and marketing. A panel will review applications based on artistic merit, community benefit, and administrative planning. Grant awards will be announced in January 2025, and all projects must be completed by the end of 2025.
