Forward Turn 2025 Grant
This grant provides funding for youth-led initiatives that promote positive lifestyles and community engagement among young people in Loudoun and Fauquier Counties.
Description
The Forward Turn Grant Program, supported by the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, is now accepting applications for its 2025 grant cycle. This youth-led grantmaking program focuses on initiatives that strengthen positive youth lifestyles, create united communities, and encourage youth involvement in Loudoun and Fauquier Counties. The program prioritizes youth-written proposals and projects that are youth-led or directly support young people.
Eligible applicants include faith-based organizations, local nonprofits, government groups, or schools serving the specified counties. Nonprofits must be 501(c)(3) organizations in good standing with the IRS. While proposals can be prepared by an adult project leader, a youth participant must write a Letter of Endorsement to accompany the application. Forward Turn encourages collaboration with other groups and leveraging additional resources, such as volunteer time or matching funds.
Applications are due by January 17, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Interviews with Forward Turn youth grantmakers will be held on either March 3 or March 17, 2025. Grants typically range from $500 to $1,500, and funded projects must be completed within one year. Grant announcements are expected by April 1, 2025.
An optional pre-application workshop will be held on November 6, 2024, via Zoom. Registration is required to receive the workshop link. For more information or to apply, visit the Community Foundation’s online grants portal.
