Description

The NY SWIMS Initiative, overseen by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) and administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), provides competitive matching grants to expand access to safe swimming facilities in underserved communities across New York State. Municipalities and Indian Nations can apply for funding to support the construction or renovation of municipal swimming facilities and related amenities. The program offers grants between $50,000 and $10,000,000, covering up to 80 percent of project costs. Applications for the first round of funding are due by July 12, 2024, with awards announced on August 28, 2024.
