Established in 1932, the Perpetual Benevolent Fund assists residents of Newton, Waltham, and Watertown, MA, who are experiencing financial hardship. The Fund makes grants to public charities working to relieve financial burdens of local individuals and families in crisis. Grants are not provided for general operating support, endowment, capital projects, or multi-year funding. Applications are due biannually on March 1 and September 1, with notifications before May 31 and November 30, respectively. Only one application per organization is accepted annually.
