Applicants must demonstrate sound financial management, governance by a Board of Directors, and compliance with all federal and state laws. Minimum eligibility criteria also require the organization to be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit offering health and human services in the Concho Valley. Policies on non-discrimination, diversity, equity, and inclusion must be in place, and financial submissions must include an annual certified audit and IRS 990 tax form.

A site visit by United Way’s Community Impact volunteers is part of the review process, providing an opportunity for applicants to showcase their programs. These visits are scheduled between January 23, 2024, and February 16, 2024, with exact dates to be confirmed in advance. Attendance at one of the Community Partner Funding Application Training sessions on October 23 or October 24, 2024, is recommended for applicants.

Key application dates include the release of the application on October 24, 2024, and a firm submission deadline of December 18, 2024, at 4:00 pm. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Funding decisions will be communicated to applicants in early April 2024. Applications must be submitted through the designated online portal; paper submissions are not accepted.
