Neilom Foundation’s Impact Grants 2025
This grant provides funding to Maryland-based nonprofit organizations that empower young people to creatively use technology to improve their communities.
Description
The Neilom Foundation, a Maryland-based nonprofit organization, is offering its 2025 Impact Grants to support nonprofit projects that empower young people to use technology in innovative ways to improve lives. The foundation, with a strong educational legacy since 2013, has awarded 289 grants impacting over 2,500 direct participants and reaching nearly 24,000 individuals. This grant opportunity reflects its ongoing commitment to fostering community engagement and tech-driven social change among youth, with a particular focus on organizations located in Maryland.
The 2025 Impact Grant application period is open from March 10 to May 1, 2025. Selected grantees will be notified on May 22, 2025, and awarded between $5,000 and $10,000. All funded organizations are required to attend a Neilom Foundation event in December 2025 to present on their funded projects. This event provides a platform for sharing results and inspiring others in the foundation’s network.
Eligibility is limited to Maryland-based nonprofit organizations with valid 501(c)(3) status. Proposals must align with the foundation’s mission by presenting projects that empower young people through technology. The foundation encourages creative, impactful, and unusual project ideas that demonstrate a clear plan for using the grant funding, articulate the target community impact, and offer insight into how the project could be scaled if given additional resources.
Applicants must submit a PDF application via email to rfp@neilom.org. Required documents include a cover page with organization details and tax ID, a project proposal no longer than two pages, and any additional supporting materials such as reports, flyers, photos, or videos that help to convey the mission and capabilities of the organization. Proposals must clearly explain the project’s relevance to the foundation’s goals, expected outcomes, and the role of technology.
Submissions will be evaluated based on several key criteria: valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, Maryland focus, alignment with the foundation’s mission, innovation and potential for impact, history of community engagement, and the ability to leverage technology effectively. The foundation also asks applicants to share how they learned about the RFP. For any questions or clarifications, applicants are encouraged to contact Alexander Anand, Director of Operations, at alex@neilom.org.
