Neighborhood Opportunity Grants are designed to support community-based projects and initiatives within Lakewood, focusing on hyperlocal efforts that engage the community, address social determinants of health, and foster innovative approaches to meet the needs of residents. Administered by the Healthy Lakewood Foundation (HLF), the grants aim to promote community engagement through various activities, events, and resource-sharing initiatives that directly benefit Lakewood residents or institutions. The grants range from $1,000 to $7,500, with applications open from August 19 to September 20, 2024. Priority is given to projects that are Lakewood-based or Lakewood-serving and that incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
