Description

The 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2025) is a grant program funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the U.S. Mission to Uzbekistan. This initiative invites past participants of U.S. government-funded or sponsored exchange programs to submit innovative project proposals that foster engagement and advance U.S. diplomatic goals in Uzbekistan. Eligible applicants must form teams of at least two alumni to apply for the grant.

A total of $35,000 is available for funding, with individual awards ranging between $5,000 and $35,000. The program is expected to issue two awards. No cost-sharing or matching funds are required. Proposals must be submitted via email to Tashkent-Alumni@state.gov by January 5, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time.

The grant supports projects under the broad category of education, aiming to enhance collaboration among alumni and leverage their skills and experiences to address community challenges. Proposed projects should align with the goals of the AEIF program, such as promoting mutual understanding, fostering innovation, and building stronger U.S.-Uzbek ties. Applicants are encouraged to craft initiatives that demonstrate a significant impact on local communities while showcasing the benefits of U.S. exchange programs.

Eligibility is limited to individuals who are alumni of U.S. government exchange programs, and proposals must be submitted by a team of at least two alumni. The program seeks creative and sustainable ideas, and submissions will be evaluated on criteria such as relevance to program goals, feasibility, and potential for community impact.

Selected projects will be announced following a competitive review process. Grantees must comply with the administrative and reporting requirements of the grant, including timely updates on project progress and financial accountability. For additional information or support, applicants may contact Tashkent-Alumni@state.gov or visit the official funding announcement through the MyGrants portal.

This opportunity is ideal for exchange alumni looking to contribute to their communities using the knowledge and experiences gained during their U.S.-sponsored programs. Early preparation and collaboration are encouraged to ensure a strong application.
