Public Art Grant 2025

$1,500 - $2,500
Local
Lafayette’s Public Art Committee (PAC)

This grant provides funding to artists and organizations for public visual art projects that celebrate Lafayette's cultural diversity and engage the community.

Description

The Lafayette Public Art Committee (PAC) provides grants to artists, arts organizations, and groups to support public visual art projects within Lafayette city limits. The grant program seeks to enhance the city’s quality of life through accessible, outdoor art projects that reflect the community’s cultural and ethnic diversity. The program encourages applications from both local and non-local artists for projects that engage the community and align with PAC’s mission of integrating public art into all areas of the city.

Grants typically range from $1,500 to $2,500, with a preference for new applicants and projects. Applications must be submitted online by February 5, 2025, and projects must be completed by December 19, 2025. Grantees are required to submit a final report within 30 days of project completion. Funding cannot be used for projects completed prior to 2025, capital improvements, receptions, salaries, or deficit reduction. All projects must include a public component, and grantees must credit the Public Art Committee in all project-related publicity.

This competitive grant program promotes equity and inclusion, ensuring that projects adhere to PAC’s nondiscrimination policy. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and provide a detailed proposal outlining their project’s vision, impact, and budget. Questions and support are available through Lafayette’s Public Art Coordinator.
