Description

The Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund (TSIF) is a state-funded program established in June 2023 as part of the Texas CHIPS Act (House Bill 5174) to sustain Texas's leadership in semiconductor research, design, and manufacturing. With an appropriation of $698.3 million, the TSIF offers grants to state entities and institutions of higher education for semiconductor-related projects, and to private business entities with an established presence in Texas, encouraging economic development in semiconductor manufacturing and design. Eligible applicants include state entities, higher education institutions, and private businesses focused on new or expanded semiconductor projects within Texas.
