2025 Smiles for Kids Grant
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations in North Carolina for programs that promote children's oral health, particularly for underserved and at-risk populations.
Description
The Delta Dental Foundation (DDF) offers grants through the Smiles for Kids program to nonprofit organizations across North Carolina to support initiatives focused on children's oral health, particularly in underserved areas. This program aims to fund local dental education initiatives and programs that improve oral health outcomes for at-risk children. The application deadline is January 5, 2025.
Grant funding ranges from $1,000 to $5,000. The program prioritizes nonprofit organizations engaged in impactful oral health programs, especially those targeting underserved children. Applications are evaluated based on the organization’s activities, services, accountability, and ability to attract local community support. Only one proposal per organization per year is allowed, and organizations must demonstrate alignment with the program's mission.
Smiles for Kids grants cannot be used for capital campaigns, salaries, administrative expenses, endowments, advertising, fundraising activities, loans, or projects developed for commercial purposes. Additionally, grants will not be awarded to individuals, political organizations, or entities that engage in discriminatory practices.
Organizations interested in applying should ensure their proposal is dedicated to not-for-profit programs that directly benefit children’s oral health. Applications should also highlight the program’s relevance to underserved or at-risk populations and its potential to create meaningful improvements in oral health outcomes.
