The Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority (CCRRA) mini-grant program is intended to provide reimbursement grant funds for Centre County base projects that improve recycling education and the collection of materials to be processed by CCRRA. The purpose of the mini – grant program is to encourage innovative and strategic solutions to increase the capture of recycling that is processed by CCRRA. Grant funds are made available based upon the performance of CCRRA and the recycling market commodities processed by CCRRA for the prior calendar year.

Grant Priorities
Funding priorities for round one will include:
non-traditional recycling such as plastic film, hardback books
community space permanent recycling
special event recycling
school recycling.
Funding Information
Mini-grants may range from $1,000 – $15,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants include:
Municipalities and municipal agencies
Schools (K-12 and post-secondary) and other educational institutions
Non-profit organizations and community-based organizations
Businesses
Refuse haulers for whom CCRRA is subcontracted to collect recycling
Ineligible applicants include:
Recycling processors,
Recycling brokers or transportation companies.
