Enterprise Community Partners

This program provides training, technical assistance, and funding to affordable housing organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region to help them preserve small- and medium-sized multifamily properties.

Description

Enterprise Community Partners is currently accepting applications for its 2025 Mid-Atlantic Preservation Academy Cohort, an initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of affordable housing organizations and owner-operators to preserve small- and medium-multifamily (SMMF) properties. This program combines in-depth, cohort-based training with grant funding and technical assistance. Participants will benefit from peer learning, expert guidance, and practical tools to support sustainable and resilient affordable housing strategies in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Academy is structured around a series of sessions that will address key areas critical to the preservation of SMMF housing. Topics include the importance and role of SMMF housing, barriers and opportunities in preservation, organizational capacity assessment, rehabilitation planning, financing models, property and asset management, and long-term sustainability. The final session’s focus will be determined based on cohort member input and may explore eviction prevention, climate-resilient practices, and preservation-focused public policy.

Organizations selected for the cohort will receive grant funding in addition to access to training and technical assistance. Although the specific award amounts are not listed, the opportunity is framed as a capacity-building program aimed at housing-focused organizations operating within the Mid-Atlantic region.

Applications must be submitted via SlideRoom no later than April 14, 2025. SlideRoom allows applicants to save progress automatically, log in and out at their convenience, but once submitted, proposals cannot be edited. Applications submitted after the deadline or outside of the SlideRoom system will not be accepted. For technical support, applicants can contact support@slideroom.com or visit support.slideroom.com.

For program-related inquiries, applicants are directed to contact Shivali Gowda, Senior Program Officer at Enterprise Community Partners. This academy presents a structured opportunity for affordable housing providers to deepen their knowledge, improve operations, and enhance their preservation strategies for small and medium multifamily properties.
