Description
The Community Zero Waste Grants program offers funding for community-based organizations, non-profits, and religious institutions in Hennepin County to lead waste prevention and diversion projects. These grants aim to support underserved communities with innovative, place-based solutions that promote zero waste, enhance recycling, and improve organic waste recovery.
Applicants can request up to $100,000 per year for a maximum of three years, with no minimum award requirement and no matching funds needed. Eligible expenses include project materials, labor, administrative, design, planning costs, and outreach or educational materials.
Applications for this cycle are due by Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Grant recipients must submit annual reports detailing their progress, quantitative results, and expenditures, using a template provided by the county.
