Building and Bridging Connections Funding
This funding supports community-building projects that empower historically marginalized groups, such as Indigenous women, Black individuals with disabilities, and LGBTQ Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, to enhance social connections and promote health equity.
Description
The Building and Bridging Connections funding focuses on enhancing social capital and community-building efforts that address health challenges and advance health equity. It is aimed at creating connections, building trust, expanding dialogue, and building community among diverse groups such as Indigenous women, Black people living with disabilities, and Asian American and Pacific Islanders identifying as LGBTQ. The funding also prioritizes the amplification of voices with historically less power and inclusion of cultural practices representing cultural heritage and traditions. This initiative targets specific, defined communities that align with the Foundation’s cornerstones, prioritizing groups historically excluded from community-building efforts. There is no application deadline, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis, decisions made within 60 days, and grants ranging from $25,000 to $90,000 for projects lasting 12 to 24 months.
