TSET Healthy Incentive Grants for School District in Oklahoma
This funding opportunity provides Oklahoma public school districts with financial support to create healthier environments through tobacco-free policies, improved nutrition, physical activity initiatives, and employee wellness programs.
Description
The FY25 Healthy Incentive Grant, administered by the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET), provides funding to Oklahoma public school districts to support initiatives that promote tobacco-free environments, nutrition, physical activity, and employee wellness. Schools can achieve three levels of awards—Bronze, Silver, or Gold—based on the strength of their policies, implementation of best practices, and enrollment numbers. Funding ranges from $3,000 to $120,000 per district, depending on the award level and enrollment size.
The program encourages districts to adopt comprehensive tobacco-free policies, establish active wellness committees, and implement robust wellness policies aligned with federal and state regulations. Applications are accepted during two windows: September 3–30, 2024, and January 10–February 7, 2025. Funds must be spent within one year of the grant approval date. The program does not require a match, although grantees are encouraged to use funds to match other opportunities.
Grant funds may be used for diverse projects, including health education curricula, fitness and playground equipment, safety improvements, school gardens, hydration stations, and more. Grantees must submit documentation demonstrating policy adoption and implementation, and all awarded districts must participate in TSET’s program evaluation process.
