Small Rural Partnership Support
This program provides financial support to arts organizations in rural Tennessee, helping them cover operating expenses while promoting community engagement and sound financial practices.
Description
The Small Rural Partnership Support (SRPS) grant program offers operating support to arts organizations legally chartered and based in Tennessee's rural counties. Eligible applicants must have a minimum annual budget of $30,000, verified by IRS Form 990 or a signed Profit & Loss Statement. Applicants can request up to 40% of their verified annual cash operating expenses, not exceeding $50,000, with a dollar-for-dollar match requirement. Funding decisions depend on the organization’s merit during the review process and the total funds available, with most requests receiving partial funding.
New applicants must submit a formal request for entry by email to the program director and meet all eligibility requirements, including a minimum three-year funding history from the Tennessee Arts Commission within the last five years. Organizations with a fiscal deficit or those receiving revenue from specific specialty license plates are ineligible.
Applicants must demonstrate the value of their programs to their communities, sound financial practices, and effective planning. Grant recipients are required to promote the Specialty License Plate Program and implement a structured promotional campaign. The application process involves completing an online form, uploading required documentation, and submitting by the deadline of January 6, 2025. Funded organizations must complete spending and submit final evaluations by May 15, 2026.
