Illinois Reproductive Health Facilities Capital Grant Program
Description
The Illinois Reproductive Health Facilities Capital Grant Program, launched by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, is designed to support reproductive health care facilities facing increased demand post the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade. With a total funding of $5 million, the program offers grants between $50,000 to $500,000 to facilitate capital investments like new construction, renovations, equipment upgrades, and security enhancements in clinics providing abortion and other pregnancy-related services. It requires a 15% project cost match from recipients and prioritizes projects in rural or underserved areas. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted.
