Description
Grants offered by the George E. Archer Foundation are designed to support youth gardening education programs and educator training initiatives for children in grades K-12. These grants, which can be awarded at any time, range from $250 to $1,000. Eligible programs must be located in one of the following Indiana counties: Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, Monroe, or Owen. Applicants are required to use organic and sustainable gardening methods, serve a minimum of five children, and conduct program evaluations. The foundation prioritizes various educational areas such as curriculum integration, nutrition and health, environmental awareness, social and emotional development, entrepreneurship, service learning, vocational training, and innovation in teaching methods.
