Women’s Giving Fund 2025
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in Summit County, Utah, that create lasting change for women and children by addressing systemic challenges and improving community well-being.
The Park City Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Fund Grant supports high-impact philanthropic efforts benefiting women and children in Summit County, Utah. The fund is designed to provide transformative support to nonprofit organizations that address systemic challenges rather than temporary relief. The grant is funded through the Women’s Giving Fund endowment and current-use donations, awarding three annual grants to nonprofit organizations that can demonstrate measurable outcomes in improving lives and fostering community well-being. Collaboration among community organizations is encouraged, and projects must provide clear evidence of need, defined objectives, and an evaluation strategy.
Eligible applicants must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or organizations that have applied for 501(c)(3) status, with a receipt letter from the IRS. Entities operating under a qualified 501(c)(3) organization may apply separately if they have an advisory board and written consent from the qualified organization. Funding may be used for program or project costs, capital projects, equipment, consulting services, matching funds, technical assistance, and joint requests from multiple organizations. However, grants will not be awarded for debt reduction, one-time events, general operating support, fellowships, litigation, political or religious activities, or endowment funds.
For 2025, the primary Women’s Giving Fund Grant award will be $90,000, determined annually by the Park City Community Foundation’s Board of Directors. The funds may be disbursed over one to three years based on program outcomes and must be used within three years of receiving the award. Two runner-up finalists will each receive $30,000 to support their proposed initiatives. The grant selection process is managed by the Women’s Giving Fund Steering Committee, a group of eleven women, including at least one high school or college student, who review applications and recommend three finalists for a member-wide vote.
The grant application process follows a structured timeline. Applications open on March 3, 2024, and are due by April 4, 2024. Semifinalists will be notified on May 9, 2024, and between June 23 and July 13, 2024, members of the Women’s Giving Fund will vote to select the grantee. The final grant award celebration will be held on July 15, 2024. Finalists will also receive video production services to create a short film about their proposed projects.
Applications will be evaluated based on several key criteria, including the benefit to the community, the strategic approach of the program, potential impact, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the program budget. Organizations must demonstrate how their programming decisions are informed by the communities they serve, show participation in diversity and inclusion training, and maintain a public-facing commitment to equity.
To apply, organizations must submit a project narrative detailing their intended impact, target demographics, and measurable outcomes. Additional required documentation includes a project budget, an explanation of how the funding will be used, and any optional supporting materials. Applications must be submitted online by April 4, 2025. For further inquiries, applicants may contact Minda Boland, Grants & Impact Manager, at minda@parkcitycf.org.
