This grant provides $50,000 each to three nonprofit organizations in Central Texas that promote inclusion and support underrepresented communities through education, job skills, and health and wellness initiatives.
Description
Austin FC, in partnership with Q2, is offering funding opportunities for local nonprofits in Texas that are dedicated to promoting inclusion within Central Texas. This initiative aims to support organizations that focus on advancing underrepresented communities through specific impact areas, including education, job skills and readiness, and health and wellness. The program will award three separate grants of $50,000 each, totaling $150,000, to eligible nonprofit organizations.
The primary purpose of this grant program is to foster a community in Central Texas where all individuals have access to the resources necessary for their growth and success. As Austin continues to grow as a major tech hub and professional sports destination, the need for support for its diverse population has become increasingly important. The funding is intended to empower nonprofits that are actively working to address the needs of underrepresented communities in the region.
Eligible applicants for this grant must be nonprofit organizations that are committed to promoting inclusion within the Central Texas community. The proposed program or project must align with one or more of the specified impact areas and must be located within Central Texas. Additionally, applicants must be recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and must not be classified as private foundations. It is important to note that the funding is strictly for project implementation, as capacity grants are not available through this program.
Ineligible applicants include individuals, political or religious organizations, and organizations that do not have tax-exempt status. Furthermore, funding will not be provided for sports events, travel-related activities, or individual schools. Nonprofit organizations must also be in good standing with the IRS, the Texas Franchise Tax Board, and the Texas Secretary of State to qualify for funding.
The application process requires nonprofits to submit a detailed proposal outlining their project and its alignment with the grant's objectives. Specific application questions will be provided, and organizations will be evaluated based on criteria that assess their commitment to inclusion and the potential impact of their proposed project.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 11, 2024. Organizations interested in applying should ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements and prepare their proposals in advance of this date.
