The City Gardens Club of New York City (CGC) offers grants to primary and secondary schools across New York City's five boroughs. For over 25 years, the program has provided financial support to educational institutions, helping students and families explore the benefits of gardening and farming. These grants are specifically designed for schools to implement gardening projects that inspire hands-on learning and environmental awareness.
The application process for schools involves meeting a submission deadline of December 15, 2024, with grant approval notifications issued by March 1, 2025, and checks mailed by March 15, 2025. Schools interested in applying must be located within the five boroughs of New York City. Nonprofits that are not educational institutions must use a separate application process.
