Charles H. Hall Foundation Grant
This grant provides financial support to organizations in Western Massachusetts that deliver educational, health, human services, or arts programs for underserved communities, with a focus on preventing cruelty to children and animals.
Description
The Charles H. Hall Foundation was established in 2007 with the mission of supporting and promoting educational, health, human services, religious, and arts and cultural programs for underserved populations. Special consideration is given to programs aimed at preventing cruelty to children or animals. The Foundation focuses its funding exclusively on organizations based in Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire, or Franklin Counties in Massachusetts.
The grant program provides funding for specific programs or projects, with a preference for organizations that offer direct services. Grants are awarded for a one-year duration, and applicants are limited to receiving funding for no more than three consecutive years. The grant amounts typically range from $5,000 to $20,000.
The application process follows a strict timeline, with proposals due by March 1 each year. Applicants will receive notification of funding decisions within three to four months of the deadline. The grant is managed by the Connecticut office of Bank of America’s Philanthropic Solutions division.
Applications must be submitted online, and applicants can access detailed procedures in a PDF or Word document. Bank of America provides online application assistance, and applicants can return to applications in progress through the grant portal.
For questions regarding the application process or foundation eligibility, prospective applicants should contact the Connecticut grantmaking office via email at ct.grantmaking@bofa.com.
