The Edmond Tree Grants program aims to improve urban tree canopy within Edmond city limits, enhancing air quality, providing shade, and beautifying neighborhoods and school grounds. The program, a collaboration between the City of Edmond and local residents or schools, seeks to foster community engagement and educate participants on proper tree care and planting. Eligible applicants include neighborhood groups and K-12 public schools within Edmond. Applications are accepted during the summer on a first-come, first-served basis, with projects to be implemented in the fall and winter. Trees available for planting include seedlings, 3-gallon containers, and 15-gallon containers, with specific quantities allocated to schools and neighborhoods.
