This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations collaborating on community-focused projects that benefit residents of Adams County, Indiana.
Description
The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) Collaborative Grant is designed to support partnerships between two or more nonprofit organizations that come together to execute a shared event or program. These grants aim to foster collaboration and expand the reach of community-based initiatives in Adams County, Indiana. The ACCF prioritizes collaborative projects that align with the mission statements of all participating organizations and have an active role in program implementation.
Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations or tax-exempt entities that provide services to Adams County residents. Nonprofits located outside Adams County may apply if they can demonstrate that their programs directly benefit the county's residents. The Collaborative Grant encourages applications for projects that serve a broad community audience, with a focus on expanding access to resources, cultural events, and public services.
Grant requests typically range between $200 and $5,000, with past collaborations generally capped at $1,000 per participating organization. Funded projects may include historical markers, community outreach events, educational materials, health fairs, training programs, and local festivals. However, funds cannot be used for salaries, operational expenses, food, snacks, T-shirts, or renovations.
Applications are reviewed quarterly, with due dates on the second Wednesday of January, April, July, and October. Grant funds must be used for expenses incurred after the award date, and applications may be submitted up to 30 days before the due date. Priority is given to collaborative grants during the Spring (April) grant cycle. Organizations with an outstanding grant from a previous cycle may still apply, but their funding history will be considered.
Applicants must submit 10 copies of their application, along with a project budget and any supplemental materials (e.g., brochures, event details). Electronic and faxed applications are not accepted. Organizations will be notified of their grant status within three to four weeks after the deadline.
