The program is designed to develop workplace readiness skills and allow youth to gain valuable job experience within various departments of the Dorchester County Government.
The 2025 program will run for eight weeks, beginning on June 16, 2025. Participants will be employed in diverse roles such as office administration, customer service, and general labor. These positions are specifically intended to introduce young individuals to public service and workplace professionalism in a supportive environment.
To be eligible, applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 22 at the time of application, currently enrolled in high school or college (with proof of enrollment required), reside in Dorchester County, and be available to work at least 20 hours per week. Applications must be submitted online, with the application portal opening on April 14, 2025, and the deadline for submission being May 16, 2025, by 5:00 PM.
For individuals without access to a computer, application stations are available at all Dorchester County Public Libraries. Any questions regarding the application or program can be directed to the Human Resources Department by calling (843) 563-0333.
