Northeast Michigan Women's Giving Circle Grants
This grant provides funding to community nonprofits, churches, schools, and government agencies in northeast Michigan to support initiatives that address issues important to women in the region.
Description
The Women's Giving Circle (WGC) was established in 2006 to create an endowed fund for supporting issues important to women in northeast Michigan. The WGC is supported by individuals from a four-county service area (Alcona, Alpena, Montmorency, and Presque Isle) who are committed to making a lasting impact on their communities. As the endowed fund grows, so does the annual amount awarded in grants.
Community nonprofits, churches, schools, and government agencies are eligible to apply for WGC grants. The application deadline is July 1, with grant awardees notified by late September. Grant awards are reviewed and recommended by the WGC grant review committee, composed of WGC members, and must be approved by the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan's board of directors.
