Description
The Glaser Foundation offers annual grant funding to eligible nonprofit organizations serving Western Washington, particularly in King County and its immediately adjoining areas. This private foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that address pressing health and human services needs, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable populations including children, the elderly, and underserved communities.
To qualify for funding consideration, applicants must meet four core eligibility criteria. First, the organization must be a 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service. Second, the organization must provide services within Western Washington State. Third, the organization must be located in King County or adjacent areas. Fourth, the proposed project must align with one or more of the foundation’s specified focus areas. These focus areas include health-related issues, services to children with disabilities, educational or vocational training programs, services for the elderly, support for children and families from disadvantaged backgrounds, and programs that serve at-risk youth.
All applications for funding, regardless of focus area, are due by May 31. While the foundation accepts applications year-round, those received by the May 31 deadline will be considered for review in the current annual grant cycle. The foundation’s review process can take up to nine months, and grant awards are typically disbursed in November. All decisions are made by the foundation's Board.
