Wayne County Community Endowment Fund

Description
The Wayne County Community Endowment (WCCE), managed by the Rochester Area Community Foundation, provides grants to improve the health and quality of life for Wayne County, NY residents, particularly focusing on youth and seniors. Grants typically range from $1,000 to $5,000. One larger grant will be awarded to a project implementing innovative approaches to food insecurity, transportation, or housing challenges.
Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations or have sponsorship from a charitable nonprofit and must serve Wayne County residents. The endowment prioritizes projects that are new or expanded, address critical community issues, and demonstrate measurable success and sustainability. The fund does not support individual residents, debt reduction, religious activities (except non-religious services provided through religious institutions), or fundraising campaigns.
Organizations are invited to submit Letters of Intent (LOIs) by Friday, January 24, 2025. After review, selected applicants will be invited to submit full applications, which are due by Friday, March 7, 2025. Programs addressing Wayne County’s critical needs are encouraged to participate in communications programs through Causewave Community Partners for additional support.
