Women’s Fund of Central Indiana Grants 2025
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in Central Indiana that focus on improving the lives of women and girls, particularly through initiatives addressing poverty, health, and economic stability.
Description
The Women’s Fund of Central Indiana Annual Grant Program supports nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives of women and girls in Central Indiana. This initiative is particularly interested in funding programs that break negative cycles—such as those related to poverty or intimate partner violence—and foster economic stability and mobility. It also prioritizes initiatives addressing women's health, particularly reproductive health, maternal mortality, and mental health. Additionally, it seeks to support asset-based programming for girls and small, grassroots organizations led by and serving women and girls of color.
Eligible applicants must serve one or more of the eight Central Indiana counties: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby. Organizations whose core mission is to serve women and/or girls may apply for general operating support, while other applicants may request project-based funding. Only gender-specific programs are eligible; those that incidentally serve women or girls without targeted intent will not be considered.
The maximum grant award is $25,000. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits or use a qualified fiscal sponsor. Organizations with religious missions may apply only for programmatic support and must demonstrate how their religious affiliation does not influence program activities. Organizations that received a Women’s Fund annual grant in 2024 may not apply in 2025 unless their 2023 revenue was under $250,000.
Applications must be submitted online via the CICF grant portal between April 1 and April 30, 2025, by 4:00 p.m. ET. An optional informational session will be held on Wednesday, April 9, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Applicants can also request a draft application review by contacting the grants officer at least five days before the deadline.
Funding decisions will be announced by September 24, 2025, and grants will be awarded based on a thorough review by the Women’s Fund Grants Committee and Advisory Board. The Fund does not support general fundraising activities, schools, political campaigns, or religious programming.
For application or fiscal sponsorship inquiries, applicants should contact Julie Koegel at juliek@womensfund.org or (317) 696-1933. Technical assistance for the application portal is available via grantsupport@cicf.org.
