Award Details: The objective of the Academic Development Grants is to support authentic Buddhist studies conducted at the highest level of academic excellence. These grants aim to inspire students and faculty by providing funding for Buddhist study and research programs at the university and graduate levels. The grants are open to universities and academic institutions, and collaboration with the university, institution, or other benefactors is encouraged. The grants do not support building and construction projects, organizing or participating in conferences, or indirect costs, overhead, and administrative costs.
Eligibility: Only applications from universities and academic institutions will be considered. Applications from individuals will not be accepted. Programs to strengthen academic Buddhist study and research are welcome. Outreach programs to students on campus, the community, and the public are encouraged.
Application Deadlines: Applications for Academic Development Grants are accepted twice a year. The deadlines are at midnight Eastern Time on December 15 and June 15. Late submissions will not be accepted. Results will be notified in May and November, respectively, with funding available in July and January, respectively.
