Description
The Union County Tourism (UCT) 2025 Tourism Grant Program provides funding to support events, projects, and marketing efforts that enhance the tourism appeal of Union County, Ohio. This program seeks to increase economic impact by encouraging visitation, particularly through lodging tax revenues, with funding available for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, as well as municipalities. A total of $30,000 is budgeted, pending final approval, and individual grants are awarded on an annual basis.
Eligible projects must take place in Union County and contribute to the county’s reputation as a destination with unique activities and experiences. Grants can fund a variety of activities, such as event advertising, promotional materials, website enhancements, signage, and other tourism-oriented expenses. Primary consideration is given to projects that attract visitors from outside a 50-mile radius, have growth potential, provide measurable economic benefits, operate during off-peak seasons, and contribute to local media exposure.

Approved grantees must include UCT branding in all promotional materials, list their event on UnionCountyOH.com, and provide UCT with images and data on event attendance, marketing effectiveness, and room nights generated. Ineligible expenses include general business expenses, salaries, scholarships, fund drives, and any events outside Union County.
