Impact 100 South Jersey Community Heroes Grant
This funding opportunity provides unrestricted financial support to small nonprofit organizations in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester Counties, New Jersey, that have annual budgets of $500,000 or less, enabling them to expand their impact and improve their services.
Impact100 South Jersey has launched the Community Heroes Grant, a new funding opportunity aimed at supporting smaller nonprofit organizations making a difference in Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, and Gloucester Counties in New Jersey. This initiative aligns with Impact100 South Jersey’s mission to leverage collective giving power to foster meaningful change in the community. The Community Heroes Grant seeks to provide financial support to nonprofits that are not yet large enough to qualify for the organization's $100,000 Core Mission Grant but are still making significant contributions at a local level.
These unrestricted operating grants are designed for nonprofits with annual budgets of $500,000 or less. The grant allows these organizations to expand their impact and implement necessary improvements to sustain and enhance their services. This funding opportunity complements the Core Mission Grant, which focuses on organizations with operating budgets between $300,000 and $5,000,000.
To qualify, applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are headquartered in and serve residents of Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, or Gloucester Counties in New Jersey. They must have filed 990 tax forms for the past two years. Political and religious organizations are not eligible for funding under this grant.
The application period opens on January 20, 2025, and all applications must be submitted by March 26, 2025. Applications will be reviewed by the Small Grants Review Committee, which will select finalists. The final selection will be determined by a vote of Impact100 South Jersey’s membership before the June Annual Meeting, where the grant recipients will be publicly announced.
For organizations interested in applying, a Grant Info Session Presentation is available for review, providing additional details about the funding process. Questions regarding the grant process can be directed to smallgrants@impact100sj.org.
