Description
The Lead Service Line Inventory (LSLI) Grant Program, managed by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, provides funding for local government units to complete a comprehensive inventory of lead service lines in their water distribution systems. This program aims to help communities identify and document the materials of service lines, particularly focusing on high-risk areas and facilities. The total program funding is $6,570,000, with awards ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 per applicant, depending on the number of service connections. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are depleted, and there is no cost-sharing or matching requirement.
