FY26 Project Grant
This grant provides financial support for arts projects in Georgia, including performances and exhibitions, to nonprofit organizations, schools, and government entities that promote community engagement and diversity.
Description
The FY26 Project Grant, offered by the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA), provides support for arts projects across Georgia, including performances, exhibitions, festivals, and capacity-building initiatives. Eligible applicants can request between $1,000 and $5,000, with a required 50% cash match. The grant supports both in-person and virtual arts programs and must include a public component unless it is a capacity-building project. Funded projects must occur between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026.
Eligible applicants include Georgia-based nonprofit organizations, schools, libraries, colleges/universities with advisory boards, and government entities. Applicants must demonstrate alignment with GCA’s goals of accessibility, community engagement, and diversity. Projects must be arts-focused and align with the applicant’s mission. Applications are scored on project clarity, community impact, goals, and organizational capacity. Grants are reimbursement-based, meaning funds are provided after expenses are incurred.
Applications are due by February 7, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. and must be submitted through GCA’s online portal. Components include a narrative, budget, board list, and support materials such as work samples. Ineligible expenses include capital improvements, non-arts projects, fundraising costs, and out-of-state programming. Late or incomplete submissions will not be reviewed. Applicants may only apply for one GCA grant (e.g., Project Grant, General Operating Support, or Arts Education) per fiscal year.
