2024 Veteran Employment Program
This funding opportunity provides financial support to organizations that assist Pennsylvania veterans and their eligible spouses in overcoming employment barriers and improving job prospects.
Description
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) is offering approximately $600,000 in funding for the Veterans Employment Program (VEP) for the 2024 program year. This grant aims to support Pennsylvania veterans and eligible spouses by addressing barriers to employment and enhancing job opportunities. Competitive grant awards of up to $200,000 each will be provided to successful applicants.
The VEP funding is designed to supplement existing initiatives, fill funding gaps, and support innovative ideas that can improve employment outcomes for veterans. It enables service providers to deliver a holistic approach to veteran employment by leveraging partnerships with government programs and community organizations already serving this population.
The application deadline is November 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. E.T. Applicants are encouraged to propose projects that can effectively address veterans' employment needs, expand services, and contribute to meaningful job placement and retention for veterans and their spouses.
