Description

The Rural Maryland Prosperity Investment Fund (RMPIF) is aimed at boosting the standard of living in rural areas of Maryland by 2030, aligning it with or exceeding statewide averages, while preserving rural cultural heritage. The Fund supports economic and community development initiatives that encourage entrepreneurship, enhance local infrastructure, and foster intergovernmental cooperation. For Fiscal Year 2025, RMPIF has allocated $1,500,000 to support entrepreneurship and related activities. These grants will help develop robust economic opportunities in rural Maryland by supporting small businesses, agricultural advancements, and workforce development. Application phases include a Letter of Intent by May 17, 2024, and a Full Application by July 12, 2024, with final grant decisions announced in August 2024.
