Description
The Keystone Historic Preservation Planning Grant program, funded under the Keystone Recreation, Park, and Conservation Fund, supports the planning and development of publicly accessible historic resources in Pennsylvania that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The program aims to identify, preserve, promote, and protect historic and archaeological resources for public benefit and community revitalization. Eligible activities include cultural resource surveys, National Register nominations, planning and development assistance, and archaeology.
Grants range from $5,000 to $25,000 and require a 50/50 cash match. The program follows a competitive application process, with applications due by March 3, 2025. Projects must align with the Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Plan and cannot begin until a fully executed grant agreement is in place. The grant period extends from approximately September 1, 2025, to September 30, 2027.
