The Franklin County Community Foundation supports local charitable initiatives by awarding grants to projects that enhance the quality of life for residents in Franklin County. Focus areas include arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health, and human services. Since its inception in 2005, the foundation has awarded $1.8 million in grants, with $154,444 granted in 2023 alone.

Grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government entities, as well as other tax-exempt organizations classified as non-501(c)(3), provided the project is deemed charitable. Prospective applicants for non-501(c)(3) projects must consult with the foundation before submission to confirm eligibility. A local committee reviews applications to ensure alignment with community needs and priorities.

Applications for the current grant cycle opened on November 15, 2024, and must be submitted by January 15, 2025. Award announcements will be made in March 2025. To apply, organizations must review the foundation's Grant Guidelines and use the online grant management system to complete and submit their applications.
