Public Spaces Community Places (PSCP)
This program provides matching funds to municipalities for community-driven projects that enhance public spaces and promote accessibility.
Description
The Public Spaces Community Places (PSCP) program, administered by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), is designed to support municipalities in creating and enhancing public spaces that foster community engagement and economic vitality. Projects can include outdoor plazas, park enhancements, and other public space activations. The program matches funds raised through a community crowdfunding campaign, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000. Additionally, PSCP offers up to a $25,000 match for projects that incorporate universal design elements to improve accessibility. The program encourages local residents to participate in the development of transformational projects through MEDC's partner, Patronicity, a crowdfunding platform.
