Description
Guided by principles of civil and political rights and a safe, healthy environment, the Morton K. and Jane Blaustein Foundation supports initiatives confronting racism, protecting immigrants and refugees, and mitigating climate change, particularly for communities of color and low-income populations. The foundation focuses on building alliances for equitable climate policies and grassroots organizing. Geographic priorities include Baltimore City, Maryland, the DC region, and New York. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status. Applicants are encouraged to contact a Program Officer before submitting a Letter of Inquiry or Proposal. To protect the rights of immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers in the U.S. the Foundation provides grants for:
Immigrant-led organizing and advocacy for just immigration policies
Immigrant legal services and impact litigation to ensure critical legal and social protections for immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers
Holistic support networks for refugees and asylum seekers fleeing violence
