Hotel Impact Mitigation Fund
Description
Hotel Impact Mitigation Fund (Uath) is a grant opportunity administered by the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity (GOEO) in Utah. The fund aims to assist qualified hotels in pursuing a claim for loss of income. To qualify, hotels must have been built in Utah before July 1, 2014, demonstrate consistent and measurable sources of income, and have senior management attest to the accuracy of information. Affected hotels may file a claim after entering into a contract and receiving written approval of a baseline. The claim amount is calculated by comparing income from the base year to future years, and any additional funds not claimed will go toward state tourism advertising, marketing, and branding. Companies are encouraged to have information reviewed by a Certified Public Accountant but attestation of complete and accurate information is required from hotel Senior Management for baseline and claim submission. For more information, visit GOEO.
