Winter Grants – Human Welfare, Animal Welfare, Healthcare
This funding opportunity supports organizations in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia that provide assistance to disadvantaged individuals, promote animal welfare, and improve healthcare access.
Description
The Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation (EWVCF) is now accepting Winter grant applications for organizations in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. These grants, funded through the Joan Roach Volunteer Fund for the Needy, Don and Polly Roach “Friends of Animals” Fund, and the Eastern Panhandle CARE Fund, focus on Human Welfare, Animal Welfare, and Healthcare. The program aims to support organizations that are assisting disadvantaged populations, promoting animal welfare, and improving access to healthcare in the counties of Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan.
The deadline to apply for the Winter grants is February 7, 2025, and grants will be awarded by March 31, 2025. The program is particularly focused on organizations working to meet the needs of low-income, sick, needy, dependent, neglected, or disadvantaged individuals in the Eastern Panhandle region.
Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, public schools, government agencies, and non-501(c)(3) civic groups. Animal welfare organizations, healthcare providers, and programs supporting human welfare are encouraged to apply. This year, thanks to the added support of the Truist Foundation, over $10,000 in human welfare grants will be awarded.
