OJJDP FY24 Mentoring Programs for Youth in the Juvenile Justice System
Description
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile
Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking applications for funding.
OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to
justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens
community safety, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between
law enforcement and the community.
With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to implement and deliver mentoring services to youth
populations that are involved in the juvenile justice system (including those youth currently
placed within a juvenile correctional facility or those who have recently been released from a
juvenile facility). This program supports mentoring programs to reduce juvenile delinquency,
truancy, drug abuse, victimization, and other problem and high-risk behaviors.
This program furthers DOJ’s mission to uphold the rule of law, keep our country safe, and
protect civil rights.
